The Germany Law Firm, P.C. was founded by Nancy S. Germany, ("Susie Germany" ) Attorney at Law. Ms. Germany has been an attorney for more than eleven years. Licensed in both Alaska and Colorado, she has practiced in the areas of criminal litigation, civil litigation and domestic law in addition to elder law, probate and estate planning.
Ms. Germany received her bachelor's degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and her law degree from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock. She also attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
An active member of the Colorado Bar Association, Ms. Germany is the past co-chair of the Elder Law Section and is a director for the Colorado Fund for People with Disabilities and an advisory board member for Front Range Hospice. A frequent speaker and lecturer on elder law and probate matters, she has taught courses for attorneys and other legal professionals and for various community organizations. She has also appeared as a guest on several radio programs discussing the importance of estate planning, probate and planning for disability (click here for a list of her previous speaking engagements). Ms. Germany also volunteers with and sponsors a Colorado Special Olympics softball team.
Ms. Germany is a native of Colorado and after several years of being stationed around the world with the Air Force, chose to return to Colorado to raise her family. An active member of the community, she enjoys the many personal and professional relationships that she has cultivated from a life lived on the Front Range. As a mother of three, she understands the importance of proper planning for those closest to your heart.
The Germany Law Firm, P.C. is active in the disability community and assists many families who have a disabled child or family member to ensure that they have the proper estate planning in place. This planning may include the preparation of a will, living trust, power of attorney documents or a special needs trust. We also assist families who are considering guardianship or conservatorship.
Our firm also assists clients with living wills, advanced directives and end of life decisions and help ensure that the person of our client's choosing has the authority to make important decisions in the event of an emergency. Our clients are families, single parents or domestic partners who seek the peace of mind that their loved ones are provided for in the event of their death or disability.
We are sincere in our belief that “An ounce of prevention... is worth much more than a pound of cure.”
Elder law, disability, estate planning and probate issues can create stressful situations within a family, and we understand that. That is why we make the extra effort to be accessible to our clients, by offering multiple office locations and offering to meet with clients in their homes. We also often travel to meet with our clients in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and hospitals.
